There are so many things we can do to make lasting change that start with gentle habit shifts. I focus intently on waste reduction and work to minimize what goes to the landfill. Single-use items are a large part of waste, and items such as plastic bags are a problem on many levels.
Fortunately, governments around the world including Ireland, Bangladesh and Botswana have taken big steps to change behavior by passing legislation to reduce or eliminate plastic bags at grocery stores. Los Angeles County passed a single-use plastic bag ban last month. So what about Sonoma County?
